An Overview of Ozobots
The Ozobot Bit is recommended to be used with learners as young as 6. It sees colours and follows lines drawn on paper and in iPad screens. The bit can read and perform over 1,000 different coded instructions, though coloured patterns and via the online blocky interface.
The Ozobot Evo is recommended to be used with learners beginning at age 8. However, is can complete the same functions as the Bit, so it can be used with younger learners with beginner lessons. The Evo has sound features and bluetooth capabilities. It also has more lights and sensors, thus enabling more complex learning.

Potential Learning Opportunities:
- Coding/Prgramming/Robotics
- scaffolding skills
- can be part of a developed scope and sequence in a K-12 coding program
- Information Communication Technology skills
- play-based learning opportunities
- Humanities:
- storytelling
- mapping activities
- Math/Science:
- reinforce concepts, such as "patterns and relations" and "geometry"
- Fine and Performing Arts:
- Music creation
- could incorporate into music lesson for interdisciplinary approach to patterning.
- teach about the elements of a good song, and have students demonstrate the elements through repetitive patterning of movements.
